ABOUT SKA TEAM
What began as the Fife Kart Club was an initiative started by the Community Trade Hub in Buckhaven — a local training and development organisation dedicated to helping people build practical, vocational, and life skills through flexible, community-focused learning programmes.
The Community Trade Hub provides spaces and training that help individuals prepare for future careers, develop confidence, and broaden their horizons. Their work includes offering accessible, hands-on learning experiences that link directly into education, apprenticeships, and employment pathways.
Against this backdrop of community development, Fife Kart Club was launched — a place where children and young people could engage in motorsport in a safe, supportive environment. In its first two years, the club faced several challenges — from establishing itself within the local racing scene to building confidence and skills in its young drivers — but these were matched by equally rewarding achievements. Throughout this period the club competed at club-level races hosted by the East of Scotland Kart Club, growing its membership, nurturing talent, and fostering a positive environment where young drivers could learn both on and off the track.
