My name is Zachary Dormer, or Zach for short, I am 12 years old. I have recently been offered a seat in a cadet kart through the Scottish Kart Academy (SKA).

I started karting at age three. I began with a small kids’ electric kart at a well-known indoor karting company, but he quickly found these karts to be too slow. My family started looking for a place to move up to petrol karts, which led to me entering the cadet championship at my last club. Although I finished in the top half of the pack. We could not afford a second season.

Later, I was offered a seat in a cadet kart and the opportunity to learn how to maintain and prepare the karts for each race alongside my new teammates at the Scottish Karting Academy.

 

My goal for 2026 is to show the club I am worthy of their time and money and to improve in both racing and making a positive impact on the team. I really want to thank everyone at SKA for the opportunity and the chance to progress alongside my new friends.
